Self titled “ Modern Renaissance Man,” Gunnar wears many hats in the career field, and isn’t afraid to take on a creative challenge. Originally known for his work on Lifetime’s Hit Show, Project Runway, and Project Runway Allstars, Gunnar Quickly became known for his quirky aesthetic, original silhouettes, and witty attitude. Gunnar has designed over 20 collections from his time of being on the show to current. He has shown his collections in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Portland, Miami, and Chicago.
After Project Runway , Gunnar Worked as the art director of The Voice of Louisville, NFOCUS Magazine, and Churchill Downs magazine , building artful sets, and styling fashion spreads for multiple magazines for 5 years. His work has been featured in publications such as Elle Magazine, Online Italian Vogue, Pattern Magazine, USA Today, and many more. He has dressed/ worked with celebrities such as Sean Hayes, Allison Janney, Matthew Broderick, Jessie-J, Lady Gaga.
As of recent, Gunnar has moved to Los Angeles, where he works as an Art Director, Decorator, and Draper for Nomad Art and Design, who have designed and built the sets for top celebrities like Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Sia, Halsey, Rita Ora, Ciara, Diplo, Tyga, 2 Chainz, and many more.Gunnar’s new venture into Interiors and Sets have allowed him to use his knowledge of fabric, and fabric manipulation and his skills such as carpentry, scenic painting, and decorating. Gunnar is currently taking on art installation commissions, interior design commissions, and any job that allows for his creative muscles to flex.
